Patience -- a Virtue?

As one of our assignments in the MAPP program, each of us had to propose a 25th virtue for the Values in Action classification and analyze how it met the criteria.  Patience was suggested by several classmates.  An AP Poll suggests that patience is not a common virtue.  The poll sets the most common limit for getting antsy while waiting in line at 15 minutes.  On the phone, it claims most can wait five minutes without losing patience.  Of course, operationalizing "losing patience" would require some work, but I bet an observational study would suggest a MUCH shorter span for patience  -- probably closer to 20% of the stated amount.  Maybe I'm going by personal experience here, and maybe I'm not very patient, but I'd say 1 minute on the phone and 3 minutes in most lines.
