I've never been as much a music person as some, but I've really come to enjoy Rhapsody, iTunes, and Youtube! Sure makes paying bills more fun! But what really got me hooked was an exercise in the MAPP program where we had to create a portfolio to help us experience an emotion we selected. Barbara Fredrickson talks about this exercise in her new book, Positivity, and suggest the exercise of developing such a portfolio for each of the ten positive emotions. I like that idea and plan to do it myself.
In any event, I've enjoyed getting back together with old songs I've loved for years, plus learning new ones (my boys are great for that!). Here's one of my all-time favorites, but done in an earlier version, and with a little Johnny Cash thrown in!
